With work from 2600 designers, covering just about every area in our society, the event kicks up some dust for debate and delivers food for thought. DDW presents you a daily summary of debates, lectures and seminars spread across Eindhoven.

During this event, 22 talented design studios, the drivers, present what design can do for you on the basis of their innovative projects. Whether it concerns social design, graphic design or product design; designers offer new ideas and insights.

Embassy of Circularity
In the real estate office market, we see successful circular development projects. The market also reveals the first experiences gained with residential real estate. Those involved will openly discuss what is needed to speed up the development of circular housing.

With the Mind the Step exhibition, the visitor is introduced to design that is created through the interaction between technology, research and design. Mind the Story, a spin-off of Mind the Step, is a daily programme of presentations and discussions with the public.

A creator will create, with whatever resource is available. In the future, we most surely will end up short with resources that are currently mass used. What materials will be widely available in the future and what can be done with them?

16.00 – 17.00 | VISIONS BY MAGAZINE
VEEM
VISIONS BY is an annual magazine that addresses different perspectives on materiality and material culture from a critical and speculative focus. Besides an exhibition, the magazine launch will consist of a lecture plus a round table with contributors from this first issue in order to present the concept and discuss the content.

Everyday during DDW, the racetrack is cleared and makes room for some in depth talks on the different perspectives presented.

17.00 – 18.15 | A TREND RESEARCHER’S PERSPECTIVE ON DUTCH DESIGN

Through a trend talk, MARE immerses you in the underlying trends behind new, innovative design – spotted during Dutch Design Week. Several speakers will be present, including talent spotted during DDW.

18.00 – 19.00 | CREATE OUT LOUD #5: STATIC TRAVELLING WITH CARLO VAN DE WEIJER

According to Carlo van de Weijer, director Smart Mobility at Eindhoven University of Technology, it might be a better idea to take our wanderlust back to the drawing board. After all, it is now possible to stay at home, relax in your chair while you virtually explore the most bizarre new worlds. Fantasize and design with them!

19.00 - 21.00 | YA Present!
Club C, Daalakkersweg 14
Powered by the BNO together with a group of over 50 graduates, the goal for these sessions is to give everyone interested more insights in the design world. From practical tips to interesting questions raised.

20.00 – 21.30 | NEON MOIRÉ SHOW LIVE: CURRENT STATE OF WOMEN IN GRAPHIC DESIGN
