With work from 2600 designers, covering just about every area in our society, the event kicks up some dust for debate and delivers food for thought. DDW presents you a daily summary of debates, lectures and seminars spread across Eindhoven.

9.30 – 11.00 | ALL INCLUSIVE CYBORG TALK: PRO’S AND CONTRA’S OF BIOLOGICAL & SYNTHETIC SYMBIOSIS

The All-Inclusive Cyborg Talks are presented in the public program of ROBOT LOVE. The lectures and debates, looking at the phenomenon of cyborgism from different perspectives, deepen and sharpen the theme.

Embassy of Circularity
Data is sometimes referred to as the oil that lubricates a circular society. What possibilities does technology offer in becoming more circular? How do pioneers deploy it? What are the expectations of designers of the digital circular future?

With the Mind the Step exhibition, the visitor is introduced to design that is created through the interaction between technology, research and design. Mind the Story, a spin-off of Mind the Step, is a daily programme of presentations and discussions with the public.

Experts share their insights about 'the train journey of tomorrow' in the What If Lab of NS (Dutch Railways).

14.00 – 15.30 | HOW TO STIMULATE INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY IN THE WORK-SPACE?

What is the role of art, of nature, of identity and vision visualisation in creating a creative environment? How to support the Design Thinking process through a good spatial concept? These and other questions will be addressed in this interactive lecture.

Dutch Digital Design covers recent and future developments in the field of digital design. During the event, leading digital agencies and brands will present digital design projects and  talk about visions on the future of this industry.

16.00 – 17.00 | DDW LIVE AT 4: CLEAN TECH: INCLUSIVE ALGORITHMS

Is there such a thing as pure technology? Is it desirable to give it a piece of humanity? Can we collectively design an algorithmic language that is inclusive and unbiased to build our society upon?

16.00 - 18.00 | WORLD DESIGN EVENT: DRIVING PERSPECTIVES
Embassy of Mobility
Everyday during DDW, the racetrack is cleared and makes room for some in depth talks on the different perspectives presented.

18.00 – 19.00 | CREATE OUT LOUD #6: WHAT IF… WE WOULD BE TALKING TO YOUR BODY?

A regular talk show predominantly appeals to the eyes and the ears. Designer and curator Tom Loois is primarily interested in designing the relationships between people, objects and spaces. Together with WhyNot, he is looking for new ways to engage our entire body, in a talk show setting.

Club C, Daalakkersweg 14
Powered by the BNO, together with a group of over 50 graduates, the goal for these sessions is to give everyone interested more insights in the design world. From practical tips to interesting questions raised.
