Dutch design talent on show in Arizona (USA)

13 February 2020

The Circle by Fransje Gimbrére at DDW19,<br /> Boudewijn Bollmann
From 1 February to 17 May, you can see the work of various Dutch design talents at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA) in Arizona. The exhibition Design Transfigured/Waste Reimagined presents work whereby the environment and sustainability are central to the design process.

Waste produced by humans is so abundant that it disrupts natural resources. The exhibition shows work in which waste has been inventively transformed into new usable products. You can find the work of thirty international designers and studios from Europe, Asia and Latin America. The work was previously on display in Georgetown University Art Galleries.

Among them you can also find a number of former DDW participants and ambassadors. Curious who? Below you will find an overview:

Do you happen to be in the area of Arizona and would you like to know more about the exhibition? The full programme can be found here!
