Don’t forget to sign up for press accreditation, then there will be a golden wristband waiting for you and we will help you find what you’re looking for at DDW22.

DDW Areas
There are eight design areas spread across Eindhoven, where hundreds of participants are exhibiting their work. Here is a brief summary per area with a few tips.

Station
Are you travelling from outside Eindhoven? Then this is the best place to start:

  • Envisions presents a retrospective More Than This and other cool projects by RÄ“, Iris Toonen and others.
  • Dutch Invertuals invites us to discover the building blocks of a ‘nature centric’ future with Expedition Æqualis.
  • Eindhoven Central Station shines as a new DDW location with Messmerizing by Job Keja & Sandra Keja Planken.

Centre
The heart of Eindhoven city also has a lot to offer during DDW22. Good food? No problem! But there’s much more to see:

  • During a symposium, DDW ambassadors Formafantasma investigate the possibilities and problems of design in answering crucial contemporary questions relating to ecological and social development. Come to Kazerne - Home of Design 'Learning with' to see this and other exhibitions on Sunday 23 October at 9:30. Sign up now, places are limited.
  • With no less than seven expos, Isola is taking over her own piece of Eindhoven. Visit the Schellensfabriek and Pennings Foundation to see expos like No Space for Waste and Rising Talents
  • On the Wilhelminaplein this year, you will find Fillip Studios with Arabidopsis Symphony. The project uses augmented reality, music and local real-time data to translate the invisible processes of a plant into an immersive experience that is constantly changing.

Canal
This area may be undergoing considerable renovation, but DDW is joining in.

  • Come and get your annual dose of Kiki&Joost
  • Eindhoven’s social design hotspot Kade Clubhuis invites you to come and play in its literal and figurative playground.
  • Looking for a party? Mozem en Kader are organising the official DDW opening party at MYLC on 22 October.
  • Come to Re-Use-Me for ongoing research by Make Eindhoven and the National Glass Museum that emphasises the importance of reusing glass.

West
The locations below are not on the usual routes, but are definitely well worth a visit. Discover what DDW has to offer off the beaten track.

Hallenweg
Hop on your bike, it’s worth the effort.

  • At Bureau Moeilijk Dingen you can learn how to incorporate activism into your everyday life.
  • Or visit De Fabriek for a wide range of projects on textiles, glass and sound.

Sectie-C
Always fun and lots to see and do at this designer’s hub.

  • Anne Ligtenberg explores how empathy and solidarity can be stimulated by design in On being human.
  • Visit Atelier Mats for colour and experiments on paper in the Copyshop.
  • Challenge your perception at Lady in Rug by House of Rubber.

Strijp T+R
This busy area has lots to offer, with famous and lesser-known names.

Strijp-S
The beating heart of DDW and an absolute must-see. That’s why it’s last on the list, so you can’t miss it.

Other
Everywhere and nowhere… these ‘separate’ locations present work on the cutting edge of art and interior design.
