The payments system is rapidly digitising. For a lot of people, being able to do their banking digitally is not self-evident. With this project we help people learn and get started in an accessible way. Through this we are ensuring that everybody will be able to participate digitally.
Enabling everyone to participate
“They say that in the digital world everything is possible. Then they should be able to make it accessible, right?”
How does digital banking work? A large group of people experience fear of digital banking or have it done by someone in their social circle. For them, the step to digital banking independently is too challenging or stressful. They want to be self-reliant, but do not always know how and where to start.
Toolkit ‘Bankieren vanaf de Bank’
Through a co-creation process the toolkit ‘Bankieren vanaf de Bank’ was developed. This toolkit is specially designed for libraries, volunteers, social workers and others who help people to become more digitally literate. It helps them to offer better help and guidance. The toolkit introduces people in the world of digital banking in an accessible way and helps them to learn step by step.
Workshops during Dutch Design Week
Also during Dutch Design Week we make impact with this project. At bibliotheek Eindhoven and community centre de Nieuwe Maan, we will organise a workshop a where participants learn more about digital banking.
For those interested in Social Design and (digital) accessibility, we will organise a workshop in which we explore how Social Design can contribute to digital inclusion, based on the project ‘Bankieren vanaf de Bank’. Registrations will open soon. Already interested? Mail puck@muzus.nl
