An algorithm is simply a set of rules for problem-solving, found in both complex mathematics and daily routines like getting out of bed and making breakfast.
Indifference explores algorithms that appear intelligent, like Google Maps or ChatGPT. These systems, though human-like, don’t truly experience the world as we do. Misunderstanding this can distort our relationship with reality. As AI shapes our worldview, distinguishing between artificial and human intelligence becomes crucial.
Indifference uses Spatial Sound, developed in collaboration with 4DSOUND, to delve into these complexities. Omnidirectional speakers create a space where every spot offers a unique listening experience, unlike traditional setups. This technology allows sound to be positioned anywhere, enabling immersive experiences like hearing a bird fly around you. It projects sound holograms, organizing sound vibrations by dimension, movement, and interaction within space. This invites you to reflect on intelligence beyond its human form, questioning how AI perceives and processes your presence.
