Luce Materia

We shed light on new materials.

Through light, we aim to highlight new sustainable materials made from selected recycled plastic and organic material of plant origin, which are then bound together. For this reason, we are presenting two distinct collections of lamps at Dutch Design Week: the GUMMY and SATELLITE lamp collections.

Gummy

The Gummy Collection evolves from the provocative Bizarre installation at Genoa Design Week 2024 (Italy), which highlighted the potential of using recycled polyurethane foam in the furniture design industry, although this is not yet realized. With Gummy, we revisit this concept by creating portable lamps that surprise and engage users. Appearances can be deceiving! They may look like rigid lamps, but they are made from foam, treated and artistically worked to appear rocky, revealing its softness only upon touch. By pressing the lamp, users discover the material's unexpected softness, aiming to spark curiosity and wonder about its sustainable properties while promoting a message of social sustainability.

Satellite

Satellite explores the celestial ether in search of new horizons and secrets concealed within matter. Satellite is a lamp collection that highlights its material composition: recycled plastic combined with organic components.
