AI for all?

Inclusive Design meets Artificial Intelligence

We are at the onset of a new era, driven by AI. While we integrate AI models into our lives and design processes, we also aim to build a more inclusive society, considering accessibility for everyone. In this exhibition, we explore how Inclusive Design meets Artificial Intelligence.

Our inclusive design methodology

Have you ever felt stupid for not understanding how something works? Did you ever feel that technology was not made for you? Or worse: that you weren’t made for new technologies? Because we did! And we want to change that.

Designing with more awareness is essential to keep humans, with all their facets, at the core of our work. By embedding inclusivity at the foundation of our design work and AI development, we ensure that these intelligent systems are not only getting smarter but also becoming more accessible and meaningful. Our inclusive design methodology and human-centered approach empower us to make the unconscious conscious and to innovate for a wider audience in their contexts.

AI assistance for unexpected maintenance

In this exhibition, we explore how we can create empowering designs with AI in the context of maintenance and repair. We showcase how AI companions can enhance contextual awareness, adapt to various situations, and deliver precise assistance for unexpected scenarios. We do so by designing rich multimodal human-computer interactions and bringing the digital and physical together in one unified experience. In this way, AI companions can become an advanced technological tool that seamlessly integrates into current workflows, providing real-time support and enhancing productivity and efficiency in maintenance tasks.

Visit us during the Dutch Design Week to see how we use AI and Inclusive Design methodologies to shape the future of industrial design.

About Accenture Industrial Design

We design physical products for the digital age.

Designers help create the products, services, and experiences that shape our world. The fusion of physical and digital design is a powerful tool to help address the sustainability and inclusivity challenges we face today. So, we ensure we understand the latest technologies in both the physical and digital realm, take a human-centered approach and prioritize sustainability and inclusivity.
