We touch things to assure ourselves of reality. We touch the objects of our love. We touch the things we form. Our tactile experiences are elemental. If we reduce their range we grow lopsided“ writes Anni Albers, former Bauhaus artist and wife of Josef Albers, in her manual „On Weaving“. In recent years, the increasing digital lifestyle has led to a preference for authentic, natural and sustainable materials, which in their structure and preparation are both powerful and sensual. After all, the more we slip into the digital worlds, the more we feel the need to connect with the tangible, manifest world of objects - as Anni Albers also described - in an age far ahead of smartphones and the internet.
