Re-Craft

Re-Craft inspired a new generation of designers to explore the intersection of material , craftsmanship, culture and modern design principles.

Re-Craft's goal is to reshape the connection between design, materials, craftsmanship and culture. We convey our ideas through different works. We explore materials, construction, products and connect design with craftsmanship and culture.

The works will be exhibited at Piet Hein Eek during DDW

The Re-Craft showcases link of design ,material, culture and crafts to the public

The Re-Craft showcases link of design ,culture and crafts to the public, allowing people to understand that design, material, crafts and cultural elements are just one aspect of a broader heritage. Re-Craft aims to explore crafts and combine them with new design methods. Through collaboration with artists, the project can create works that are more suitable for mass, giving new life to crafts and culture.

A better way to promote and preserve culture and crafts is for the public to appreciate and use lifestyle products incorporating these crafts, rather than merely learning about them through museum or gallery exhibitions.

With the theme “Thinking about Crafts: Future, Craftsmanship, and Mass,” Re-Craft’s goal is to explore crafts and culture, use modern design methods to rejuvenate culture & crafts and ensure that crafts, culture, and design form a healthy, sustainable cycle with the public.

This has connected design material, culture and crafts with global public lifestyles, generating great interest and confidence in this new model.
